We are back today with another room reveal. This time it is the guest room that is located on the second floor. We are calling it guest room 2. This room needed the smallest amount of work during the nine-month renovation. We put in new windows, added a new light, customized the closet, painted everything, and refinished the floors. That might look like a lot, but since it didn’t need walls or doorways moved, it really was pretty simple. We hope you enjoy our guest room 2 reveal.
This is not a huge room, but it does have two nice windows.
We are using the same four poster bed that was in the guest room of our last house, but we purchased a new mattress set and new bedding.
I had the bed skirt custom made here on Etsy. Originally, I had ordered another pattern, but the floor refinishers threw it into the dumpster when the mailman delivered it during construction. I know……. By the time I realized what had happened, the landscapers had piled dirt and bricks on top of the package. So, I ordered another one, and this time selected this pretty pattern. And by the way, the flooring company reimbursed me for their mistake.
The navy shams are from Ballards.
We also kept the same night stands that we had in the former guest bedroom.
I painted this art work a few years ago.
This love seat was in our former master bedroom, but it is perfect in here. I love having a spot for our guests to sit when they want to get away from it all. I bought the painting at an antique show. It is by a French artist and was painted in the 1960’s.
This dresser replaced a smaller one that was in the space. It goes much better with the room.
I bought the two rosaries on our travels. One is from Colombia, and the larger one is from Panama. The walls are not pink nor do they have pink undertones. I don’t know why they are looking pink in this shot.
These figurines were an engagement gift. The lady who gave them to us owned an antique shop. They came from Germany originally. I love how sweet they are.
The rug was in our kitchen and then guest room, and the bench was in the sun room.It has been so much fun to fit our furniture into this house, and everything fits in perfectly here. We will be adding some more art to this room, but I only want to buy things that I love. It might take a while to find just the right look.
I hope you enjoyed seeing the guest room 2 reveal. If you are new here and would like to see the other rooms we have revealed, here you go: guest room, kids’ bathroom, guest bath, nursery, powder room, dining room, mud room, exterior, and family room.
Thank you for spending part of your day with us. We really appreciate it.
Take care.
