Happy Friday, everyone. Well, it is strawberry season here in Charlotte, and we are loving this time of year. We have some local farms where we go and pick a lot of strawberries.
I can’t get over how tasty fresh strawberries. The whole family enjoyed the outing and eating all the strawberries. Since we had so many Little Miss, and I decided to make strawberry freezer jam. We both had fun, and oh it is so tasty.
Ingredients
- 2 cups crushed fresh strawberries
- 4 cups sugar
- 1 package dry pectin
- 3/4 cup water
Instructions
- Mix crushed strawberries with sugar, and let stand for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, stir the pectin into the water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and boil for 1 minute. Stir the boiling water into the strawberries. Allow to stand for 3 minutes before pouring into jars or other storage containers.
- Place tops on the containers, and leave for 24 hours. Place into freezer, and store frozen until ready to use.

This recipe takes just minutes to make. Think about how much fun it will be to pull out some tasty strawberry jam in the winter time and spread it on your morning bagel. You might even use it on this bread recipe or these English muffins that we showed you how to make a few weeks ago. It is also great served as a sauce on ice cream or pound cake. Take advantage of strawberry season in your area, and then make some of this jam.
Cheers!
It looks and sounds delicious!
