I don’t go crazy decorating for Valentine’s Day, but I wanted to share the few things I did to add some Valentine Love to our home. These are all very easy ideas you could do to add some red and love to your home.
I made this LOVE sign a couple of years ago, and I have moved it around the house to live in a variety of places in February. This year it is sitting on top of some books on the mantel.
I thought it would be cute to add a little Valentine banner to the front of the fireplace. I still have time, but if I don’t make my own. I found this cute one to buy.
While I like to make fancy cocktails, Yankee likes his bourbon on the rocks. I decided to add some red straws to the bar so I can use them in my beverages this month.
I also made a Valentine tree. I gathered some tree branches from our yard and bought foam heart stickers. I just randomly placed the stickers on the branches.
Like the LOVE sign, I have moved this heart tree from place to place around the house. It comes and goes as the centerpiece on the dining room table.
After Valentine’s Day these branches can stay in the pitcher for decor, and I can easily add some green and four leaf clover foam stickers to the branches for St. Patty’s Day.
The final touch was this cute little sign I found while I was out and thought it would be a cute addition to the back door. This could easily be made with a wooden heart and chalkboard paint. I decided to take the easy way out this time around.
I hope you enjoyed these little Valentine touches. Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day?
Cheers!

Oh your heart tree is sooo cute!! I remember when you made the love sign and I really like it. Everything looks so pretty. Those look like paper straws and if so could you tell me where you found them. I have looked and looked for some to buy but haven’t come across any here locally.

Hi Alicia,
I actually got the red and white paper straws from Target in dollar section right when you walk in the store.
Cheers!
