A few weeks ago I showed you the dresser that I moved from the upstairs hallway to the foyer. The bench that had been in that spot was moved to the upstairs. It was a simple little task that really just involved the two pieces of furniture switching spots, but it gave both areas a good freshening-up.
Another little change was to bring the stand from the guest room to the hallway.
The only purchase I made for the new look was the plant there in the corner. I pulled out my DIY Ralph Lauren pillows and the paisley pillow that I made.
Jordan helped me put the new look together. Thanks, Jordan.
This is the stand that was being used as a night stand in the guest room, but it fits in this space perfectly.
These old spools work here as candle holders.
I propped this equine print against the wall because it is eye level, and we can see it through the bannisters as we walk up the stairs.
Here’s the view of the opposite side of the hall.
Although it’s looking a little washed-out in this photo, this is one of the latest art projects I used this technique on.
Here’s one last peek. And by the way, this whole area is this bright because we have a solar tube in the ceiling. There are no windows. I love that.

Looks very welcoming up there. 🙂

We had a solar tube in one of our homes in the past and it is a great solution to bring light to an otherwise dark windowless area…love the bench and the chest in the landing….
