When my mom did her modern art for her bathroom, I was inspired to make some for our guest room. The room has no art, and this project would at least at some interest and pattern to the wall.
I love this art because it has no rhyme or reason. Too bad my name isn’t a famous artist because I think this would bring in the big bucks!
This was such a fun and easy project. Mr. Spring enjoyed seeing me work on this creation and all the thought that was put into the piece. First, I started off with a blank canvas and painted it the wall color of the guest room which is a pale yellow. (Sorry for the photo quality, but some of these were taken in our
I have a fun colorful print for the room on the bed, so I decided to pull those colors to use for my art. Basically I did the same method as my mom. I poured some paint down the canvas and moved it around. I also took my brush and threw some paint on the canvas. It was fun!
I got carried away and forgot to take pictures. At first, I thought this was my finished project. I took it upstairs and called my mom on face time. We both decided it needed one more bold color so I added a strip of bright yellow.
I already had some bright yellow paint on hand so I went back to work.
I can’t tell you how thrilled I am with my work and how fun it was to create. This is really a way anyone can get in touch with their artsy side and create some art for the home. I say, “Go for it!”
Now, what should I name the piece? My mom named heres “E.K.G.” Any suggestions????
