My Latest Painting

By Janette | Projects

Hey, I am thrilled to show you my latest painting.  It is still wet, but I wanted to show you.  I hope you like it.  I like to name my paintings, but so far, this one is nameless.  If you have any suggestions, please leave them in our comments section.  I have one little idea, but it might be inappropriate.

This is the photo.  The back story is that I was eating away on this bowl of cherries a few weeks ago, and all of a sudden, I decided it might make a good painting.  So, I got out my camera and tripod and did a little photo session on the kitchen table top.  Now are you ready for the painting?

Voila!  How did I do?  The painting is on a 11 x 14 canvas that I will have framed in the dark brown family.

Here is the side by side.  You can see that I changed the background.  I love the combination of red and brown, and this was a good opportunity to use it.  If you would like to see my other paintings, you can go here, here, here, and  here.

Great job! I love how you treated the shadows of the cherries on the counter. Your cherries look tastier than the real ones!

That’s awesome. Your painting skills are improving with each picture! How about for a title…..
    “Life is……” 🙂

That is absolutely beautiful, you are very talented!

I cannot paint to save my life – not realism anyway. This is very good.

I am very impressed. I have NO artistic talent.

It is funny how we get our inspiration.

Oh, this may be your best yet. Take your time naming it because it deserves a proper name. I have zero talent, but I love watching. I also like your chicken painting.

Are you aware of bucketsofpaint and parisbreakfast.blogspot? They both post about painting and pass on little “how-to”.
