When I made a quick trip to NYC a few weeks ago, one of my stops, as usual, was the Ralph Lauren store. They had created a new room for fall which is totally different from the hunt club look they had going on last year. See it here, here, and here. Unfortunately, I only had my iphone with me, so here’s a major apology for the photo quality. This will be more of a pictorial post with just a few words of explanation thrown in.
The look this year was a monochromatic rustic cabin, but don’t let that fool you. There was plenty of silver and refinement along with furs, antlers, Navajo-like blankets, crystal, photo frames in various styles and finishes, lace, leather, light pine, and dark woods.
Don’t let this fireplace fool you. It’s a video/flat screen television, but notice how they faux painted the faux stones to make them appear as if the smoke darkened them. How clever is that!!
I’m wondering if this wood is real.
They even brought in rustic pine to cover the walls. The curtains looked like blankets. I expected Natty Bumppo to come walking in the door any moment.
