This post will show you how to enhance your bathroom with a simple DIY toilet paper upgrade.
Hello, friends. Welcome to a new week. I was very careful in writing today’s headline. How do you upgrade toilet paper, you might be wondering. Well, today’s post is about a so, so simple project that can add a little pizzazz to your powder room or bathroom, and it takes about five minutes. I am specifically saying powder room because that is where I am using this little trick, which was actually Jordan’s idea. We are going to show you a simple DIY toilet paper upgrade that will make you, or anyone who walks into your powder room, smile.
(Before)
You might recall from past photos that our powder room is small and does not have a cabinet. Consequently, I store extra hand towels and toilet paper in a handmade basket under the sink. The basket is special because my mother, who is now 93, made it back in the 1980’s. The toilet paper is tucked under the white vintage towels, but it still peeks out a little. Jordan suggested that it would be nice to wrap it in tissue paper that you use for gift giving. What a great idea! This photo shows what it looks like in its plain state.
What You Need
Since I the only tissue paper I had was red and green left over from Christmas, I headed to Hobby Lobby and bought some navy tissue paper with gold dots on it and some round gold stickers. This was so easy – just like wrapping a gift. The only other items I needed were scissors and toilet paper. I would have like a prettier paper, such as a toile, but this pattern was the only blue they had that would work with our wallpaper.
The How To
I cut the paper to size and wrapped up each roll.
I used three stickers on each roll – one on the side and one on each end. That’s all there was to it.
The Final Results
We all love easy and inexpensive DIY projects, and I think this is the easiest one we have ever shared with you.
And what a difference it makes in the powder room.
It’s just a fun and easy little project, and that’s the best kind.
Want to know some other things you can do to upgrade your own powder room? Well, be sure to come back tomorrow for our tips, and then on Wednesday we will be revealing the changes Jordan recently did to her powder room in Charlotte. I cannot believe the difference wallpaper, paint, and new tile made. We can’t wait to show you. Meanwhile, go to your gift wrap station and see if you have any tissue paper or wrapping paper that will upgrade your toilet paper.
Take care.

Why? Why would you “gift wrap” the extra toilet paper in your powder room? I enjoy your blog so much on a regular basis, but this is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of.

Ha!!! My husband thought it was dumb, too, but I like it. To each his own. I hope you keep coming back.

Aside from making a guest bathroom extra pretty to make your guests feel extra special, there is a practical aspect to wrapping the TP. Unless you have a steady stream of house guests chances are that the TP would sit in the basket for perhaps a number of weeks. No matter how good a housekeeper you may be, TP rolls would collect dust and not look fresh and clean. ( Dusting the rolls really would not be effective.)

Totally agree, Elizabeth.

Well it made me smile but far from dumb idea. A smile is always a plus, and it looks classy. And what a great way to add to a gift, like a housewarming or a pounding for newlyweds. I will be using this. Thank you.
