Authors: Autumn and Spring
When we came up with the name for our blog, we were thinking in terms of age (Janette is the mom, and Jordan is the daughter), our locations (Janette is in south and Jordan is in the north), and the seasons of our lives (Janette and husband recently down-sized, and Jordan and husband recently bought their first house).
But, quite literally, we are in two seasons, even though it is almost spring everywhere. Case in point: Below are photos we each took on the same day this week. The snow-filled shots were taken in Syracuse, and the flowery scenes were shot in Lexington.
Freshly planted pansies were enjoying a spring day in the south.
The sounds of spring are even in the air. Birds are chirping, Canadian geese are honking, and ducks are quacking.
One of us is feeling a little perkier these days and spending a little bit more time outside than the other. With Syracuse experiencing its fourth worst winter in history, one of us will be happy when the snow stops showing up. Until then, there are lots of house projects to tackle.
By the way, a recent post announced the impending birth of an upcoming family addition. You can read about it here. Yesterday the breeder emailed with the news that five female and three male puppies were born between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. yesterday. Mother and babies are doing well.

I think this made a great entry–my yard isn’t doing much, but it was good to see forsythia in daffodils in Louisville. Flower Pro is open on Richmond Road

“Ducks quacking”…oh my….I know what that is about…and it is NOT consensual.
