I love high tea. Every time I visit a major international city, I always search out its best hotel for a formal afternoon tea. It is one of my great pleasures in life.
I carry that love of being pampered into my own home, and each year I donate a high tea for six to the annual silent auction of an organization I belong to. It gives me the chance to pamper others while raising money for an organization I strongly believe in.
I hope you enjoy these photos of a mid-winter tea I recently hosted.
The menu was tomato bisque, cranberry-orange scones, goat cheese tart with green salad, and an assortment of cookies and cakes. They were served with an English tea with lemon – not milk.

Loved this table setting–loved your your new cow–loved Jordan new dining room furniture!!. A lovely afternoon tea party is the nicest way to take a mid afternoon break. I have been having a bright idea for a party, which I will share with you later.

Having been fortunate enough to partake of this and a previous year’s tea, I can assure all readers that the food and drink were as divine, if not more so, than the lovely table setting. Janette’s hospitality and charm is second to none!
