In my last post about accent tables, I mentioned that I would be back with an accent table in the kitchen. It was a hand-me-down from Jordan. In fact, she gave two of them to me when they moved, but just this one is being used right now. The other one will go to work in the basement guest room. I’m working on it now.
We needed a small table beside the bench in our kitchen. Sometimes it holds a radio, sometimes it holds the bread basket, and sometimes it holds pretty things. (To read about the bench, go here, and to read about the rug, go here.)
I gave the base a coat of Napoleonic Blue chalk paint by Annie Sloan, and the top received a fresh coat of glossy black spray paint. I haven’t waxed the bottom because I really like the flat finish. Eventually, I might add some shine, but I’m in no hurry.
Thank you all for spending some time with us. Jordan is hoping to get back to blogging projects soon, but right now she is too busy playing.
