If you need breakfasts that are grab and go, then this one is for you. And get this – it’s easy AND healthy. Even your kids are going to like this no-cook overnight oatmeal. It only takes five minutes to prep, you put it in the fridge overnight, and it’s ready to eat the next morning. Since it is made in a jar, you can eat it from that very same jar, or you can toss it in your purse for later. Don’t worry about spills. That’s what the lid is for (;
NO-COOK OVERNIGHT OATMEAL
source – allrecipes magazine
2/3 cup low-fat milk
1/2 cup low-fat Greek yogurt (I used this recipe to make my own)
1/2 cup uncooked oats (I used the cooks in 5 minutes kind)
4 teaspoons honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch of salt
1/2 cup fresh blueberries (frozen blueberries work, too)
4 teaspoons chia seeds (I omitted)
Put mild, oats, yogurt, honey, cinnamon, and salt in a 1 pint jar with a lid. Cover and shake till combined. Gently stir in blueberries. Refrigerate, covered, up to 8 hours or overnight. (I mixed the ingredients in a bowl and spooned them into 1/2 pint jars since that is the size of one serving.
