The first summer we lived in our place, I busied myself with the sewing machine and made a nice sink curtain for the powder room. I loved the fabric but decided to remove it for the summer to give the room a lighter look.
I have to get this off my chest – this room is a real pain in the you -know-what when it’s time to take photos. It is teeny-tiny, and the lighting by photographer standards is bad. (At least for this photographer.) That being said – this is the fall/winter look.
The curtain was on a tension-rod, and so, it was easy to just pop it off. There is a shelf under the countertop, and these two baskets that we had in our place in Toronto a few year back fit in perfectly.
They immediately lighten up the tiny space and say “summer.”
The rest of the room looks the same with the little water colors of geraniums that I bought at an art show and the little wooden box that I painted. Don’t you love when a little tweaking can make a difference in your rooms?

Those baskets are perfect to hide bathroom essentials. And that little painted box is so cute. Isn’t it amazing what a little tweaking can do to a room. It looks great!
Beautiful. Love your marble counter…
