How about a scone (the English pronounce it scawn) recipe for the big day? It can be your wedding breakfast treat or accompany your afternoon tea.
Scones
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
5 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
Set over at 400 degrees.
Combine dry ingredients.
Cut in cold butter. Mix egg and milk and add to mixture.
Mix till combined and turn out onto counter. Knead 10 times. Roll about 1/2 inch think and cut into rounds with a biscuit cutter.
Bake 15 minutes
Options
One or a combination of the following ingredients can be added.
1/2 cup cranberries
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chocolate chips

The colors you chose will look so fresh against the pure white trim. We used the same trim color in our home and it just gives a nice crisp contrast against the wall color.
