Pssst. I know we have something in common. I love to visit decorator show houses, and I know you do, too. I have had the chance to share three previous posts with you about a show home I visited here in Lexington recently. You can see those posts here, here, and here. Well, hold on because there is one more porch area to see.
This porch was decorated in a more contemporary style than the last three porch areas I wrote about.
The most interesting thing is that the walls were all covered in padded burlap panels. It is a great way to hide imperfections.
Outdoor drapes were made out of a fabric that resembled burlap, too. It might be some other fabric, but it looks like burlap.
This porch also had a great old floor in excellent condition.
It had cute artwork.
The lamps were whimsical. I think the shades would be easy to DIY.
The butterfly pillow on this great chair matches the art.
I hope the owners of this lovely historic home have lots of help so they have plenty of time to sit and enjoy their four porches.

Your last line said it all! I love to look at the photos of the show-home porches and dream. We have such a lovely three-sided veranda, but I only manage to furnish it and keep it moderately tidy – more than that just isn’t possible with my schedule. I love the idea of enjoying this spot more often and of decorating it ‘just for fun’.
