This turned out just beautiful! We made our first terrarium about 20 years ago and it was in a five gallon glass jar! Needless to say it was huge and took up a lot of room but it was so pretty. I really like them and it has been years since we did one. After seeing your post I am ready to go to Lowes!!
I was going to make one this year and never did. Maybe I will. Yours looks great.
Hi Janette, I have made a terrarium but its been awhile. I remember how much fun it was and how pretty it grew to be. I think your quite a busy girl after returning home from a two week trip. Great blog your and your daughter have.

I made terrariums many years ago. Yours is wonderful. I should try doing this again.
What a gorgeous terrarium you made! I made them when I was little for a science project but haven’t tried them since. I think they are wonderful!
Good for you, I learned to make these as a Girl Scout, the first year I lived in my own apartment I made terrariums for my mantle, it was so nice to see something green every morning when i woke up. I think i used ferns. They lasted for years. Nice entry and a good idea for the Holidays. Thanks!!
I that terrariums are terrific and yours is wonderful
I had a terrarium many years ago in a fabulous and unusual container, but then we moved and it was history. I have wished many a time to have it back!
Thanks for your visit and comment!

Do you ever have to add water or mist these or are they self sufficient? I think this is a great gift idea especially for busy young people who want something real and green but trouble free!
As far as I know, they are self-sufficient. However, maybe a misting now and then would be nice.
I love this. I’ll be saving my next large pickle jar to give it a try.. I appreciate you explaining how to keep the plants healthy.

It has been a while since I made one and I don’t know why. They really are low care and a lovely accent. I like your choice of plants.
Love it! Thank you for linking it with Home Sweet Home!
