It’s pi day. In our world that’s a good reason to eat pie. Pi day is March 14 which is 3/14 which translates into 3.14 which we all learned in math class is pi. It’s now a thing to celebrate pie on pi day – today. So, we dug deep into our archives and found some of our past pie recipes to share today.
Transparent Pie
The first one, transparent pie, is one of our most popular recipes EVER. It’s George Clooney’s favorite pie, and Mom actually visited the bakery where George goes to buy his pie. Just click under each photo to go directly to the recipe.
Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
It’s strawberry season in some parts of the country, and rhubarb is also available, so this strawberry rhubarb pie would be an easy one to make.
Peanut Butter Pie
This peanut butter pie is loaded with calories but every single one is worth it.
Lemon Meringue Pie Cupcakes
This recipe isn’t exactly for pie, but it’s for lemon meringue pie cupcakes, which are really delicious. We wrote this post in our very early days of blogging, and the photos aren’t so great.
Mint Chocolate Ice Cream Pie
Some people like mint milkshakes in March, so this mint chocolate ice cream pie is kind of like a mint milkshake. However, you can easily switch up the flavor by using a different kind of cookie for the crust and by using a different kind of ice cream. Those two tweaks could give it a completely different taste, and as a bonus, it’s no bake!
Are you planning to bake a special pie for pi day? Or eat pie? Or buy a pie? It’s an easy way to make a normal Thursday a little bit more special. Oh, and be sure to come back tomorrow. We have a perfect recipe for your St. Patrick’s Day feast.
Cheers!
