Quick and easy table runner to your rescue. That’s right. I have a great little decorating project for you, and it costs less than $7.00. I love table runners, but my table is pretty long and the traditionally-sized runners do not cover the table all the way. I have dealt with it by having short runners or having two go across the table horizontally instead of vertically (or vice versa.) Well, that has all changed thanks to these paper rolls.
Thanksgiving table
I discovered these rolls last fall at Hobby Lobby. I used one to make a quick and easy table runner for our Thanksgiving table and actually forgot about them. That was till I was in Hobby Lobby the other day and was shocked at all the cute patterns they now have in their paper rolls.
Here you can see the blue and white striped paper roll I used at Thanksgiving. This paper is thicker than wrapping paper, and is 14 inches wide and 20 feet long.
Lots of patterns
This time I selected the lemons since we are still in summer, and I want to soak up the summertime until it is officially fall on September 22. These rolls would be perfect for a dinner party either alone or layered over a coordinating table cloth. We have been eating most of our evening meals on our back porch, so right now I will use it as a day time look under my antique wooden dough bowl. The plants that are in the dough bowl are the same shade of green as the green in the runner. If bad weather forces us to eat a late summer meal in the dining room, I will layer the runner over one of our table cloths. Little Miss will love it. When it turns cool, we will eat all of our evening meals in the dining room, and I might buy some different patterns.
We put this post together at the last minute because we aren’t sure how long the supply of paper rolls will be in the Hobby Lobby stores. Mom has never been able to find them in her Hobby Lobby, so they must sell out quickly. If you are interested in a quick and easy table runner then you might want to check out the selection at your store sooner rather than later.
Cheers!
