As you know already, I love pulling out the red, white, and blue in the summer. It’s not as much a patriotic thing as a fresh, breezy thing. Those colors just feel like summer to me. You might have caught a glimpse of it already in other great room photos that I have posted, but I wanted to give you a closer look at the little vignette I put together for the coffee table.
This cute oval galvanized tray stopped me in my tracks when I saw it in a store, and I knew it would get a lot of use at my house.
These little blue and white saucers that I found at an antique mall make perfect coasters. I added some old keys for interest.
I have three of these candle holders in different sizes, and they have been all over the house.
The lavender came from my mother’s garden. I will soon be getting some fresh lavender from this year’s crop.
Just a touch of red makes this arrangement patriotic and summery. That’s it for the summer vignette in the great room. All of the little changes that I have made in there make the room feel cozy, summery, and light.
Take care.
