Hello, everyone, and Happy New Year!!! We had a great break from the blog, but it’s always good to get back. This is an exciting week for us. We have three birthdays to celebrate. As of this week, we have been publishing The 2 Seasons for five years. If that isn’t enough, both Jordan and I have birthdays this week, too. So, for us the celebrations continue beyond the holidays and on into the new year. We usually spend our birthdays together, but I don’t think that is going to happen this year.
Hopefully, you all had a great holiday! Mr. Right and I had a very low-key one. We went on an eight hour road trip to spend Christmas with my 92-year-old father and my 89-year-old mother. It was just the four of us, and it was very quiet and calm. On Dec. 26 we hopped in the car and drove seven hours to spend a few days with my 91-year-old mother-in-law. We eventually made our way back to Lexington and rang in the new year with a movie, (“Concussion” which was very good) and dinner. I did not take one picture the entire time, so there are no visuals to share with you.
Jordan and Yankee flew to Rhode Island on Christmas eve to be with Yankee’s parents, aunt, and grandmother. Then on the 26th they flew to Utah for their annual ski week with friends. They received an update on “Little Miss” with pictures, and let me just say that she is adorable.
We have a lot to look forward to this year. We are about to head to Zambia where we will be doing the volunteer vacation that we organize each year. There will be 19 of us, and we will build a school in a town called Lusaka. We also will travel to Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia.
Jordan and Yankee will be bringing “Little Miss” home hopefully in late spring or early summer. (I’m hoping for early spring!!) Jordan will continue to work on getting their new home painted and decorated, and I will continue doing projects and updates as needed.
Mr. Right and I have some bicycling trips planned.
And we will continue on with our blog. This little hobby has grown into almost a part-time job, but we still try to limit the hours that we devote to her each week. Our numbers are always creeping up, but they have never been our focus. Sharing something together, writing, creating, and connecting with all of you is why we do this, and we have enjoyed every minute.

Happy Birthday! I had a big birthday too December 29. We celebrated by renting two houses on Pawleys Island and having a fabulous time with friends and family. How blessed you are to still have your parents! Happy New Year! It is going to be an exciting one!
