You might recall that I have written about the bench in our great room’s eating area twice, here and here. Well, after I painted it the second time, I realized that it wasn’t really the look I wanted or liked. It was a DIY project gone wrong for sure. I found some great fabric back in the summer when I also found these and took the bench to a local upholsterer in August! And it was just ready last week. That was a little too long for my liking, but they did do a great job.
When we bought our new dining table, the old bench look just didn’t work. When my eyes landed on this ikat fabric in just the right colors, I knew it was time to make the change.
I like to have a unified look throughout the house, and the colors in this fabric fit right in.
The colors also blend with two neutral colored chairs that are on order for the table, and they blend in with the existing wing chair there in the corner. You might have noticed that we have done some rearranging, and you will get to see the whole new arrangement when we do just a little more tweaking. It wouldn’t have happened without Jordan’s help and expertise last week.
The bench really helps brighten up the great room, and we couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out.

The bench is perfect! I always love the colors you use (same as me) but this bench adds a little modern flair. 🙂
