This morning I took myself out to a relaxing breakfast at the cutest French bakery here in Lexington. I took a bunch of photos with my iphone and will be sure to blog about it later.
They have done everything right at this patisserie, and I love it. I actually mentioned this place last winter when I gave you a how-to on making butter.
As soon as I finished, I stopped by a neighboring fabric shop and scored big.
I managed to buy six fabric samples that measure 20 by 20 inches for 50 cents each. That is not a typo. It says fifty cents EACH!!! Can you believe it? That means that by using some drop cloth that I already have on hand for the backing and some pillow forms that I have, also, I can sew up six pillows in designer fabric for a total of $3.00. Major S.C.O.R.E. They will mix and match with the other fabrics and colors we use in these parts. It’s exciting to think that I can make them all at one time, store them away, and pull out what I want when it’s time to switch things up around here.
Meanwhile, Jordan has a project of her own going on all the way up there in New York. Here’s a teaser photo for you. It involves her back yard but hopefully, not her back (if you know what I mean). I’ll let her give you a show and tell when it is ready.
Thank you all for stopping in. We will see you back here tomorrow.
