Happy, happy Friday. If you have noticed that Jordan has been missing around here recently, it’s because she has had two busy weeks of travel and work with a side stop chez moi We promise she will be back next week.
We have a simple little recipe for you today.
Although we are working our Paleo food plans pretty consistently, last week-end Mr. Autumn and I decided to carb up with some homemade pancakes before we went for a long bicycle ride. I used this recipe that was one of the first ones we ever shared on our blog. However, when I needed the baking powder, I discovered we were out. After all, who needs baking powder when eating like a caveman? So, I googled and found this simple little recipe to make your own baking powder, and it worked better than the stuff you buy. Who knew?
DIY BAKING POWDER
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon corn starch
Mix well and add to your recipe. You can make more by increasing the amounts by proportion.

Interesting – I knew that baking powder had baking soda as one of its ingredients – but this is great. I’m up for pancakes tomorrow AM!
