Hey all!!! I just got in from a two day bicycle trip with my husband. We had beautiful weather and beautiful scenery. Jordan and I are thrilled that the folks over at Hometalk asked us to curate (that is the word they used, and I love it!) a collection of rugs that they will also be sharing on their Facebook page.
Like this rug that Gracie is modeling, the collection that we put together shows how creative people can be.
You will find a faux zebra rug, rugs stenciled onto concrete, rugs that have been stenciled, old rugs that have been upcycled and more. It was a whole lot of fun, and we hope you enjoy it.

Now on to the pie. Since the Kentucky Derby is this week-end, we wanted to share a recipe for the official pie. Just so you know, a baking company here in Kentucky has a copyright on the name Derby Pie, and it even has its own Facebook page. So, we can’t call it that. Instead, we are calling it Race Day Pie. There are many recipes out there. Some are made with pecans, and some are made with walnut. All of them contain a little bit of bourbon. So really, all you need to do is add some chocolate chips and a splash of bourbon to your favorite pecan pie, and you have Race Day pie.
