When we showed you the changes that I made in our foyer (here) recently, you might have gotten a glimpse of my latest art purchase.
It is a beautiful oil painting that local artist Ann Pass did of the pond at Monet’s Giverny.
I loved it for several reasons. First, I visited this pond at Giverny last September. I loved the colors and the fact that it is Monet’s garden, but Ann put her spin on it.
I also love the intricate frame that she put the painting in.
I love that the frame blends so well with the wood tones in the pine bench.
I also love that when I sit down to put on my shoes, it is directly across from me.
And I love that I see its reflection in the mirror when I check my hair on the way out the door.
This is a great painting. I didn’t know about the Artist’s Attic. I’ll have to go sometime.
Yes, Kim it is very cool. There are some amazing artists. It’s in Victorian Square.
Oh so beautiful!
BEAUTIFUL! So very pretty and how nice that you see it in the mirror!
Blessings,
Cindy
