It’s not in my nature to shop in the street, but when my mom found this on July 4th, I decided to one-up her. When she visited last week, we made it a point to walk Gracie every morning so we could all get some exercise.
One morning we found this table lying in the grass in front of one of the beautiful historic homes in my neighborhood.
We kept walking but mentioned that it would be a good fixer-upper. One of its leaves was split, and it needed a good paint job. Since we already had a work station set up in my garage and driveway for other projects, we decided to add this table to the mix.
We removed the broken leaf, cleaned it up, sanded it a little, and applied the same paint that I use on our interior trim. It is petite, as you can see, and I had the perfect spot for it.
We have a tiny anteroom between our porch and our living room. It is typical here in Syracuse because an anteroom keeps some of the cold out when we enter from the outside. We really haven’t done anything in the way of decorating in there till now. The little table is the perfect fit. I am keeping it plain white so that it matches the molding and a row of coat hooks that hang above it. So, just like my mom, I have a fab freebie.

Your table is so cute, and looks so good in white. This reminds me of a small table I have that could use an update. You folks are so lucky to be able to find freebies in the neighborhoods. We live in the country, and no one carries things to the curb. If they did, I’d probably walk a lot more. 🙂 Have a great week.
Congrats on your fab freebie! We call that little room between the front door and foyer the vestibule! Potato-po-tat-o! Looks fabulous either way you slice it!

Oh what a great find and it turned out looking so cute. You have it decorated so nicely with that pretty plant.
Cute wee table. I would have snatched it up too.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great day ladies!
Want a terrific curb-side treasure! If the previous ower sees it on your blog, she may be crying! You did a lovely job!
The little table looks great and is perfect in that spot!
