Fruit Salsa

By Jordan | Food

Author:  Spring (Jordan)

Today’s recipe is going to be a fruit salsa.  I discovered this recipe on Allrecipes.com.  I was heading to a party, needed to take something, and I wanted it to be good and different.  I started searching and mainly looked at the number of ratings and number of stars a recipe had.  This one had well over 2,000 reviews and five stars.   I found the perfect recipe, and it is super easy. Also, I have to give full credit to Annie, whoever she is.  This is called Annie’s Fruit Salsa.

This recipes calls for a lot of chopping. I highly recommend a chopper which makes life easier.

ANNIE’S FRUIT SALSA and CINNAMON CHIPS

2 kiwis, peeled and diced

2 golden delicious apples,-peeled, cored and diced

8 oz raspberries (I used frozen which work just as well)

1 pound  strawberries

2 tablespoons white sugar

1 tablespoon brown sugar

3 tablespoons fruit preserves, any flavor (I use apricot, and it is great)

Chips

10 flour tortillas

melted butter

2 cups cinnamon sugar

Dice all of the fruit. In a large bowl, mix kiwis,  apples, raspberries, strawberries, white sugar, brown sugar and fruit preserves.  Cover and chill in the refrigerator at least 15 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Coat each side of the flour tortilla with butter.  Cut into wedges and put into a ziplock with the cinnamon sugar.  Shake till coated.  Arrange on a cookie sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes.  Allow to cool 15 minutes.

Serve homemade chips with fruit salsa, or you can buy already made cinnamon chips.

Here is the finished product.  This time around I bought the chips.

Cheers!
