A few years ago, I made note cards to use as thank you notes after Christmas. It was such a fun project that I plan to do it again this year. We thought you might enjoy seeing this little project again. Back then I used fabric on a red paisley pillow as my inspiration, and I truly loved the way the note cards turned out. So did the recipients. Today we are going to share how easy it is to make your own DIY Christmas note cards.
Use Fabric or Paper You Love
First off, pick a fabric or print that you love. It could be a pillow fabric, curtain fabric, plaid flannel shirt, napkin, or table cloth. You get the idea. It could even be wrapping paper or a piece of scrap book paper. Take a high resolution photo of it, and edit it in Picmonkey or any photo shop of your choice to sharpen the colors.
Select a Printing Company
Then select a printing company like Vistaprint or Shutterfly. There are tons of printing companies out there and many are having specials right now for the holidays. You can even use a local reputable company. Use the printing company’s format to design and layout your card. I am not good at things like this, and believe me that if I can do it, you can do it. I even attempted a monogram. I used Vistaprint, by the way, just because I have used them in the past and am familiar with their process.
Dazzle Your Friends
Once the design is complete, order the number of your choice and then sit back and wait. It will take one to two weeks for them to arrive, depending on how busy they are. Then dazzle your friends when you send them thank you notes on cards you designed. I also designed these cards and loved them to. Have fun making these DIY Christmas note cards, friends.
Take care.
