One morning last week when I was doing my make-up (la toilette as the French call it), I was surprised to see that I had five different wands of different mascara brands in my vanity drawer. I am always on the hunt for the best mascara, and every time that I think I have found the BEST one, I discover one that is even better. Since I shared my skin care routine with you yesterday, it seems only fitting to continue the theme today, and share my favorite mascara…….till another favorite comes along. Just consider me your own personal focus group. And by the way, I did decorate our tree yesterday. I did the whole thing with just one hand, but Mike will have to add the angel. Can’t wait to show you.
These are the mascaras that I have in my drawer. You can see that there is a variety in price and brands. I like a long, thick lash and know that the right mascara can help me achieve that look.
This Bobby Brown Eye Opening Mascara is my favorite, and you can find it here. I go for the blackest black always. It makes my lashes look just the way I want them to.
This photo from yesterday ‘s post shows my lashes.
This L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara is number two. Jordan uses this one. You can find it here. It is very reasonably priced.
Number three is the Mac Haute and Naughty mascara. It is a two-step process. You can buy it here.
Number four is this L’Oreal Voluminous million lashes. Find it here.
And number five is this one. It has the same name as the one above, but it is a little bit different. I used this mascara for years before I ventured out and started experimenting. It’s available here.
So, there you go. If you are looking for a more high octane mascara, one of these should work for you.
If you have a mascara you love let us know we always love to hear your favorites!
Take care.

I use Bobbie Brown waterproof mascara, I have sinus issues that cause my eyes to water and her mascara is just perfect.

Having worked in the vanity industry, all mascara has the same icky beginning …. bat poo. When I learned that was the basis of good mascara, I revolted and dyed my eyelashes beginning in college. Why? So we could look good getting out of the pool/lake. Pure vanity. What can I say, it seemed wise at the time! It’s what the mascara makers add to it that makes us choose it or or not. Loved original BBrown but sadly the product changed when Estee bought her out. It’s still very good but makes my eyes water. I’ve tried almost every brand from $ to $$$, and I’m right back where I started. The container was a white tube w a gold lid in the 60s. Yes! Maybelline! Now it’s pink and black.

Kay, that Maybelline mascara is one of the all time top sellers.

I’ve been using Tightline mascara…it is a 3in1 product (with whom I have NO affiliation!!) It has a very small brush and works wonders on my eyelashes. It is a mite expensive, but I am soooo happy with the outcome!
I used the aforementioned green and black container for MANY years prior to finding Tightline!
Blessings,
J
