Well, the flu got me. It hit me hard. Today is the first shower I have had since Monday. I didn’t even have the strength to just stand in the shower. My whole body ached, and my throat felt as if I had used sandpaper on it. I am certainly not well yet, but I feel oh so much better today, and now know that I am not going to die. I think it will be a while till I am 100 percent. I’m telling you all this because, needless to say, I didn’t have it in me this week to cook. That being said, I will share some dessert recipes from the past that you might want to think about for Valentine’s Day.

I am so sorry to read that you were down with this awful flu. It really is awful. I have a wonderful Red Velvet Cake,which incorporates red wine for color and moisture— there are a lot of steps, but it is so worth it- the moisture level, taste, color it is a WOW. ( you can gather I am a cake lover, but I want it to not dry out.). In the mean time: stay hydrated
