Well, it is actually happening. Summer rushed right past us, and in just a few days we will be looking at cooler temperatures, wool sweaters, football, shorter days, down comforters, and heartier meals. Fall is my favorite season, and I don’t mind embracing all of these things. I especially love spending a little more time in the kitchen preparing meals that seem to go right along with the season. Are you right there with me, or are you having a tough time transitioning into autumn or the thought of autumn? We put together some of our favorite fall recipes to make now so you’ll have a jump-start on creating some meals for cooler weather. Hopefully, you will find several that you are ready to make.

The great thing about these cinnamon biscuits is that they taste and smell just like autumn. Make a batch, and freeze them. When you are in the need for a quick breakfast, pop one in the microwave for a few seconds, and breakfast will be ready in a jiff.

Take an afternoon break with a hot cup of tea and one or two of these cookies. Another way to enjoy them is to make ice cream sandwiches. Just put some of this cinnamon ice cream in between two cookies, and voila! You have yourself a special sweet treat. They freeze well, too.

Fall means that our calendars fill up with activities, responsibilities and meetings. If you want your meal to cook while you are busy with your day, try a slow cooker recipe like this jambalaya.
Pesto Monkey Bread
This bread is a good side to a Sunday morning brunch, but it is also a great side to a bowl of chili. Another bonus is that it is easy to tote to a tail-gating party. Remember to use the basil from your herb garden to make a good pesto. It’s really easy to freeze, too.
Pasta with Tomato Pesto
Some gardens are still producing tomatoes in the fall. This tomato pesto takes traditional pesto up a notch. Serve it with pasta, but keep in mind that it is also good spread on warm bread.
Slow Cooker German Style Bratwurst
Here’s another great slow cooker recipe for you. I love German food, and it seems just right in the fall. If you want to make an easy Oktoberfest meal, serve this. Add some pretzels and beer, and that will be all you need.
Apple Pie Baked Apple
I know that we promised you ten recipes, but here’s a bonus. I had to add a dessert, and this is the one. It’s the cutest and best way to eat apple pie. And after all, if your dessert contains a fruit, doesn’t that make it healthy???
