Yankee and I became addicted to watermelon juice while in Central America. I don’t know why it is not that popular in our country because it is so refreshing and tasty. With temperatures already in the 90’s here last week, I have been busy making some for us to have in the afternoons. It is super easy, and I wanted to share the recipe with you today. In Central America we had the option to have it with sugar or without. I opted without and when I make this at home, depending on the sweetness of the watermelon, I might add a little bit of honey. You can also add regular sugar.
Ingredients
- 4 Cups fresh watermelon
- 1 Cup water
- 1 Tablespoon honey or sugar to taste
Instructions
- Cube four cups of watermelon and add to blender
- Add one cup of water
- Blend
- Depending if you like sweet or not add honey or sugar
- Blend
- Stir before serving and serve over ice

We also have a watermelon mojito if you want something with a kick to it. Have a great weekend.
Cheers!
