Our powder room reveal is here! After having a ho-hum powder room for years and then a navy powder room that was a total fail, I am happy to invite you into our home today and show you the little gem that measures only 3 feet by 8 feet and sits off of our foyer. In this post, I gave you a little sneak peek at what I had planned for the room. Well, in my book the real thing is even better. I packed a lot into this small space. I wanted to create a room that had a little bit of Janette and a little bit French and English country. I wanted it to be a room that caught our guests’ attention. I wanted them to say, “Wow! What an adorable powder room, and by the way, it smells great, too!” And you know what??? I think I did it, but I’m going to let you be the judge.
It all started when I saw this great wallpaper in a random magazine. It was the navy and white that I love, and it has brightened the room up so very much. This room doesn’t have a window which makes a bright wallpaper almost a necessity. Having no window also means that getting good photos with my skills is a challenge.
I love how it looks with this green and white buffalo check skirt that hides all of the extra towels, etc. under the sink. And I love how it looks with this old rug that I found online. The checks and the rug give it the English country that I was looking for.
Although I kept most of the art and accessories that already were in the powder room when it was navy, I just had to bring in some new things. You know……I wanted to make it look even better. Not only does my new accessory look right at home in its new spot, but it smells so great. That cute little candle is from The NEW Atmosphere Collection™ Fine Home Fragrance by Glade®. I bought the N°4 Tempted™, patchouli amber fragrance, which provides a lusty aroma.
The NEW Atmosphere Collection™ Fine Home Fragrance by Glade® has so many special qualities about it. First of all, I bought the products at my local Kroger, but it’s a soy candle that looks and smells as if it is right out of a specialty shop. This new line of soy candles and other products come in four glamorous fragrances and were created by renown fragrance designer Ann Gottlieb. The NEW Atmosphere Collection™ Fine Home Fragrance by Glade® didn’t stop with just candles. They also offer PlugIns®, and they all come in four designer fragrances.
I love having the Glade® PlugIns® because they provide an ongoing fragrance when I am away from the room.
Just like the Glade® fragrances that fit all tastes, I think this geometric wallpaper could fit in with any style. This room is very old-school with a vessel sink that sits on top of a Carrara marble counter, and the walls just blend right in with it all. My candle and Glade® PlugIns® give it a clean, velvety scent.
There are so many textures, too. The marble paired with the chrome, and the bamboo all play with each other so well.
Add a NEW Atmosphere Collection™ Fine Home Fragrance by Glade® candle and some flowers, and it only gets better.
Jordan monogrammed this soap dispenser with just the first letter of our last name. We will show you how she did it soon.
The art in the room is all very special to me. I bought this print at a Paris flea market. It is a vintage advertisement from a 1950’s magazine. It adds to the French and English country vibe I was going for.
These two came from an antique show a few years back, and I love them because Mr. Right calls me Jay. I do not call him Finch. Just sayin….
I only wish you could see and smell this room in person. The photos don’t do it justice, and you can’t get a whiff of the divine NEW Atmosphere Collection™ Fine Home Fragrance by Glade® candle. Do you have any home projects planned? If you are in the neighborhood, stop on by. I’ll show you the updated powder room, and you can tell me your plans!

Too bad the olefactory app on my iPad isn’t working….hehe. I bet your powder room smells heavenly. It looks terrific! I’m curious…is that bamboo mirror a vintage find? Enjoy your day! 😉

Donnamae, I bought it last summer, and I think it was from Wayfair. I love that it does look old. I tried to find it when I was writing the post, but it must be sold out.

Your bath is charming! What is the wallpaper that you used?
Janette says
Pam, it is by Thibault, but I don’t know the name of it.
