Gift Guide for the Men in Your Life

We have been scrambling over here to get our Christmas shopping finished, and it just seems that we always struggle the most with getting the right thing for the men in our lives.  Although we love shopping local, we also do a bunch of shopping online, too.  The convenience of pushing “complete order” and having the item on our doorsteps in just a few days is a real win-win for both of us.  We are highlighting some of our favorite finds and hope they will give you some ideas if you have a hard-to-buy-for man on your list.

Yankee received the Amazon Echo as a gift for Christmas last year,  and he loves it.  My mom has even given one to my father as a gift, and he is a fan.  Yankee likes the music and how he can control the thermostat just by asking the Echo to turn up or turn down the temperature. ( I love it because I can just tell it to add an item to my shopping list, and it’s done just like that.) Amazon now have a smaller version called the Echo Dot which we plan to put in some other rooms.  I know we have mentioned this a few times here on the blog, but it is the perfect gift for any man in any generation.

 

This heated sweatshirt is a genius.  When we lived in Syracuse I actually had one, even though it’s for men,  that I wore every winter day in our house.  My brother has one, too.  A rechargeable battery heats coils that keep the sweatshirt toasty warm.  It’s perfect for the man who works outside.  It is also great to wear while doing outdoor sports or while watching outdoor sports like football.  It is even good to wear indoors if you just can’t get warm enough.

 

 

Yankee is a beer fan and even does some homebrewing.  These beer soaps are a great gift idea for the beer lover in your family.
