Since we are of two different generations, we thought it would be fun to do a gift guide highlighting some things we both would like to give or receive. Hopefully, it will help you with your last minute shopping decisions.
After loving Stella and Dot for years, I decided to start selling it. I am very impressed with the quality and the way the company runs its business. This Stella and Dot necklace is the Sutton and I LOVE it, and I would be thrilled to get or give it as a gift. I have talked to all ages from college girls to retired ladies who love this necklace and all you can do with it. When I travel, this is my go-to piece because I only have to take one necklace. However, I have 5 different ways to wear it. It is a great gift for $128. Click here to shop the Sutton necklace.
The Renegade bracelet comes in both gold and silver and is one of the most popular bracelets in Stella & Dot’s collection. It looks cute paired with other bracelets and adds a little edge to your wardrobe. $59- Renegade Keep in mind that S & D has great and colorful packaging and arrives in just a few days.
This Mae necklace is super cute with a pair of jeans or a little black dress. $49- Mae Both Mom, my grandmother, and I own it and wear it with both jeans and dressy clothes.
These soiree studs come in these two colors as well as silver and gold. They are sweet earrings that are perfect for a stocking stuffer or for a teacher or friend. $24- Soiree Studs
Stella & Dot now has a sweet girls collection starting at $14 and this one is my favorite for little girls. $34- Color Crush Statement Necklace Set.
Here in upstate New York, it is tough to stay warm, and that’s why I love these Smart Wool socks available at Duluth Trading. I wear them all winter long, and these cable knit socks get the job done while still looking feminine. I might put them in Mom’s stocking, because she loves her toes to be warm, too.

Janette here. Now it’s my turn to add to our gift guide. I selected a bunch of books from Clarkson Potter to both give and receive.
Living the Good, Long Life by Martha Stewart is a book I am giving my to my mother. Even though she is 87, she still is active and loves to be involved and stay involved. Martha is full of information on what she does to stay fit and active, and isn’t that what we all want? And let me just add that Mother didn’t want me to take this photo on that hot summer daybecause she was in her gardening clothes and didn’t “have her face on.” Now she is going to be double mad because I put it on the blog. There might be coal in my stocking.
And while I’m on the subject of books dealing with good health, Giada’s Feel Good Food is the latest book by Giada DeLaurentis. She writes about her healthy lifestyle and provides healthy recipes, too. I really enjoyed it. You can see that I have bookmarked a lot of the recipes.
This jacket would be the perfect gift for the sporty lady who likes to stay warm and dry while she is outdoors. Duluth Trading sent this waxed cotton jacket to me, and it fits right in with the style here in horse country. I didn’t expect it to be so toasty warm, though. This photo was taken when I was decorating our courtyard on a frigid day when the temperature was 28 degrees. Only my fingers were cold, and I guess that’s because I was wearing gardening gloves. The jacket also has some really cool hidden pockets where I can hide a credit card, tissue, and my keys when I’m out and about. It also has a zipper and snaps and an adjustable waistline and is water resistant. Any lucky lady would be thrilled to receive it.
We hope this gives you some ideas for your shopping list.
Cheers and Take Care!!!
Duluth Trading Company provided the socks and jacket, and Clarkson Potter provided the books. The opinions on all of the products are our own.
