If you’ve been around here for more than a New York minute, then you know I have a teeny foyer with a marble-topped dresser in it. And you know that every month I like to do some seasonal tweaks to the dresser just to keep it pretty and welcoming to our guests. By the end of May, it will be sporting its red, white, and blue look in honor of Memorial Day, but for a few more weeks, it will still be dressed in its spring finest. The last time you saw the foyer vignette was March, so I thought you might want to see how it has been looking since about the second week of April. Keeping a fresh look in the foyer is something I have always done. Having a blog just means I get to share it with all of you who don’t happen to stop by my house. This foyer happens to be a whole lot smaller than all of the other foyers in my past and requires me to be a little more compact with the tabletop design.
Buying a bouquet of mixed spring flower made the process very easy. I then just shopped the house and found some items that had similar colors. I bought fresh flowers as needed.
Our sweet neighbor dropped off a beautiful orchid for me yesterday. I simply switched out the fresh flowers for the orchid. (Sorry, I didn’t get a photo.)
And it all still matches our antique kilim rug that we bought in Turkey.
