Hi everyone!!! Hope you all are doing great. Jordan and I have been away for the past two weeks doing our annual volunteer/working vacation that our family organizes each year. (Mr. Right and I have done these trips for the past 15 years.) This year we worked for a week in a very poor neighborhood in Cali, Colombia. Let me just say this….When we arrived, we learned that one of the three families we would be helping had a mother, her four daughters and three nieces sleeping in conditions that not even a junk yard dog would sleep in. Their beds were dirt floors with a few broken/sharp tiles on them. When we left, each one had her own bed, mattress, sheet, pillow and pillow case plus a new home to put them in. I can’t wait to show the the results of what 20 people can do in one week. When we were finished there, we hopped on a plane and went to the Galapagos Islands for a week. It was an amazing trip, and we will be sure to show you photos as soon as we catch our breath.
Meanwhile, look what greeted me when we arrived home.
Do you remember this post about forcing bulbs indoors?
The first pot was in full bloom. These were early bloomers. Since they were looking somewhat “leggy”, I cut the blooms and put them in water. I’ll show you how they look later this week. Before we left, I moved all of the pots from the designer garage to our mudroom.
Meanwhile, the two other pots are in our sunroom taking their time. I predict they will bloom in about two weeks which is perfect. I’m so glad they aren’t all blooming at the same time.
Today’s post is short and sweet. I have a mountain of laundry waiting for my attention and a house that wants to be transferred from winter to spring. And by the way, our internet connections weren’t so great when we were traveling, which explains why we were slow to respond to comments, emails, and typos in our blog posts. Whoops!!!

Glad you are back safe and sound and looking forward to hearing more about your trip to Columbia..how dreadful to be sleeping literally on the dirt…and I am sure they were so thrilled to have a bed and linens due to your generosity….
