Happy Tuesday. We hope you all had a great long week-end and got to do whatever it is that you enjoy doing. Just as I hoped, we rode bicycles, went to movies, rested, and did some entertaining.
One of the things I love doing is cooking for others.
Our dear friends have a son who is getting married this year, too. So, we invited them over to catch up and to compare notes.
Our son’s wedding will be the July 4th week-end in the mid-west, and their son’s wedding will be in Mississippi cotton country in October. Since we are both planning rehearsal dinners, it was fun to talk about some of the details.
I’m all about the red, white, and blue and will get plenty of that since our rehearsal dinner is actually on July 4. We’re hosting an indoor picnic buffet. I’ve been planning the menu with a caterer, ordering decorations, and addressing envelopes. I can’t wait to show you the invitations. Sooooo cute!!!
The weather this week-end was nearly perfect, and it was great to pull out the patriotic colors for our al fresco meal. It definitely put me in the summer spirit.
