Happy Monday, everyone. We just arrived home from a whirlwind week-end in Washington, DC where we enjoyed a bridal shower and a bachelorette party for our son’s fiancee, Josie. The wedding will take place on July 5, and we are so excited to welcome her into our family. What a gem she is!
A blog that I always stay caught up on is Pariscope Home by Kim Hites. She has a love for anything French and is actually there right now. Before she left, she was kind enough to write a guest post for us that we are sharing today. Enjoy meeting Kim.
I was happy to be invited by fellow Kentuckian and blogger Janette to do a guest post on this great blog she shares with her daughter Jordan, and I’m glad to meet YOU, their readers.
Hello, I’m Kim Hites from the blog of the same name: Kimberly Hites. My subtitle is Pariscope Home…for the love of French style because my favorite design style is most definitely French. I’ve had a love of all things French and French Country décor for many years now. Highlights for me have included meeting Charles Faudree and traveling to France a couple times a year in search of antiques.
I thought I’d share some French Country motifs and vignettes around my house that hopefully will inspire you. A sort of “lookbook” if you will.
I am always drawn to “La Tour Eiffel”. It makes very special vignettes.
Lavender always says Provence and France to me. I usually grow and harvest my own.
Anything that says Paris is always so trés chic!
The kitchen is one of the best rooms to add French Country flair.
The French pay close attention to architectural elements and detail.
They know how to take ordinary everyday objects and elevate them to something special.
If I could only have 3 things in my décor that spoke of France they would be:
An Armoire
A French chair
A Louis Philippe mirror
The draw od French Country…. the romance, the welcoming feel of it.
Sigh… the romance.
Luv your décor.
Hugs, Gee
I always enjoy your post, but for the past two or three weeks they have not been being delivered by email. I checked, and feedburner says I am still subscribing, but still the posts don’t appear. Is this a problem anywhere else?
We have heard that this problem is happening on many of the blogs out there. We are looking into it and if/when we have a solution, we will write about it on the blog. Please continue to follow us by going to wwww.the2seasons.com Monday – Friday.
You certainly have such wonderful French treasures Kim!!!
Thanks so much for the guest post girls. I have just returned from France and will have lots to share in the coming weeks!
Glad you are home safely. Can’t wait to read about your trip.
