I had a holiday gathering last week, and I wanted some holiday sweets to have on hand. I pinned some things last year, and I tried some of them. This one was such a hit that I wanted to share.
I give all credit to Centsational Girl where I found this recipe. This goodie is amazing and perfect for the holidays.
White Chocolate Fudge
3 bags 11 oz. white chocolate chips
1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
6 oz. lowfat cream cheese ( I used regular since I once heard only use regular in cooking)
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
nonstick spray
green icing (optional)
8 x 8” glass dish or metal pan
Prepare a double boiler and bring the water to a boil. Once boiling lower heat and our 2 ½ bags of white chocolate chips into double boiler.
Add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk.
When the chocolate and condensed milk start to melt, continually stir and then add the cream cheese, sugar, and peppermint extract.
Continue to stir for 8 to 10 minutes until mixture is fully melted and resembles thick frosting. Pour the melted mixture into a dish or pan coated with nonstick spray and allow it to cool for 6 hours or overnight.
I had a hard time keeping my edges straight when I cut the fudge, but the taste was amazing. Centsational Girl added a little green frosting to the top of her fudge to make it more festive. I liked the festive look so I decided to do the same thing.
This is now going to be a standard holiday recipe for me. It was super easy and tasty. Ahh, I love the smells and goodies of the holidays.
This sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe–I missed it from Kate when she posted it.
Richella,

What happens to the other half bag of chocolate chips? 🙂
Debbie,
I just put the other half of the bag of chips in the freezer for my next cooking projects.
