I am writing this with a sad face because I will be catching a flight this afternoon to head home from my week at Jordan’s. We sure have had fun and also have been busy. She promised in yesterday’s post that we would share the recipe for the spiders and hay stacks that we enjoyed at our afternoon tea. Well, get ready to buy just three ingredients because that is all you will need. Also, the kids can help you with this easy recipe.
HAY STACKS
1 package of peanut butter chips
1 package of chow mein noodles
Melt the chips either in the microwave or in a double boiler. Stir to be sure all chips are melted. Stir in one bag of chow mein noodles. While they are still warm, drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper sprayed with cooking spray. Let stand for two hours before serving.
SPIDERS
(You can use the same bowl that you used for the hay stacks.)
1 package of chocolate chips (we used semi-sweet)
1 package of chow mein noodles.
Melt chips in the microwave and stir at 15 second intervals. Be careful because if chocolate chips melt too quickly, they turn to stone. When completely melted, stir in one bag of chow mein noodles. Drop by spoon onto wax paper that has been treated with cooking spray. Let stand two hours before serving.
This look so cute and delicious!
