Hi everyone! I know it is Tuesday, but I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was filled with a day of wine tasting with some of my Stella & Dot ladies out in the finger lakes, cheering on Mr. Spring in a triathlon, and seeing some beautiful homes at the Parade of Homes.
I have lots of pictures so enjoy the homes. I do have to say they were taken with an iphone. They are not the greatest, but you will get an idea. These homes are all brand new in a new development on the outskirts of Syracuse.
It was fun to see the different styles. This one was very modern, and you can’t tell from the outside, but it has 3000 square feet of living.
First up, I am going to show you a couple of dining rooms in these homes.
This house was ready for fall. I love the art hanging on the wall. The colors are so vibrant, and it is also perfect for the dining area.
This was the dining area in the modern house, and I thought it fit the style of the house.
Next up, most of the homes had an office that could be turned into a bedroom since they all had a closet. Here are a couple:
I love the globes in this room, especially the chalkboard globe.
This is a great desk in this room.
This is the only whole kitchen shot I got. Everyone always hangs out in the kitchen, and it was true for the Parade of Homes. Overall, they were beautiful.
I have to give a shout out to my friend Kristina who painted this in the kitchen of one of the homes. This year they had local artist have some art in each home. This home had very bright bold colors that the owners picked. The tree works great with their theme and color scheme. Awesome job, Kristina!
The kids’ rooms were so cute and creative.
This would be perfect for a little basketball fan.
The curtains in the sports room were really creative with the referee whistle.
I loved this headboard. I thought it was adorable if you wanted to go with a pirate theme.
This was a cute playroom.
Another sports room that was adorable, and this one is for the baseball player.
This nursery I thought was so sweet. At first I thought it was wallpaper on the wall, but it was painted, and it looked amazing.
Here is a close up of the painting technique.
The kids’ bath in one of the homes was decorated after the book The Hungry Caterpillar.
This is so bright and cheery for the children.
Next up are some master bedrooms. The trend was very tall ceilings.
This bedroom had a beautiful balcony off of it. Mr. Spring that joked all this bedroom needed was a wine frig.
We turned the corner to the bathroom, and what did we see but a wine frig and coffee bar set up in the bathroom. It’s a nice feature, but really can’t you go downstairs to get a cup of coffee or your wine? We do need to get our 10,000 steps a day, and this feature does not help get them.
This was a pretty master bath.
This master bath was in the modern house, and I thought it worked great with the whole modern theme.
By far this is was my favorite bathroom. This was huge – much bigger than one of our bedrooms, but it was fun to see. Ahh!!!! I just loved the setup and style.
This was a very modern tub.
This sink was in a half bath, and I LOVED it. I just wish our full bath was a tad bigger to have this sink.
I hope you enjoyed the tour. While it was fun to escape and picture what it would be like to live in one of these new huge homes, I am very happy with our bungalow. At this point in our lives, we enjoy having a good walk score where we can walk to go out to dinner, bike to the grocery store, library etc.
What did you think of the rooms?
Beautiful and fun to see! Thank you for sharing!
Jordan, Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment. I was born in Syracuse and wonder what my life would have been like had I stayed in the region. Upstate NY is gorgeous! We still have a few relatives in Long Island NY. Love touring homes! I actually really like the dining room in the modern home. Love the huge bathroom and the kids baths and bedrooms are fun and playful. Your artist friend did a fab job on the tree mural. So many beautiful ways to decorate a home. Thanks for the I-phone tour. Your pics aren’t too bad. I hate the camera on my droid, it takes awful photos but then it might be me the photographer lol!
