Don’t you just love browsing in a garden center during growing season? I know that I do. Last week our garden club had its monthly meeting at a local family-run greenhouse, and it was pure eye candy.
Even though we have a limited amount of planting space in our courtyard, I sure love flowers.
Each plant was saying, “You know you want me.”
They had all kinds of plants in flats ready for purchase, grouped in hanging baskets, and in individual pots.
I have two of these planters hanging on our garage wall, but unfortunately, a dove family has made their temporary home there. So, I know already that our planters won’t be looking like this planter in 2013.
They had several kinds of ferns including one that does not lose its leaves in the winter and one that had fronds resembling a rabbit’s paw. I thought that one was somewhat creepy.
They even had indoor plants like this lush jade plant.
A rose by any other name…….
Doesn’t this man-made waterfall look natural?
Even this concrete heron looks real.
There were lots of little seating areas that were inviting to both the birds and the people.
Maybe I need one of these for our courtyard so the doves won’t occupy the planters.
I loved the rustic bent willow chairs.
This young lady was not for sale. She provided customer service in the form of purring. She looks just like a cat Jordan used to own. R.I.P. “Paisley.”
