All You Need is LOVE

Happy February everyone.  It sure feels like February here in Syracuse because of the chill in the air and snow on the ground.  Since it is the “Month of Love”, I  thought this would be perfect for this month.

Most people have seen this famous image of LOVE.  I think they even used it on a postage stamp at one point.  Now I’ll teach you how to make a mini-version of this iconic sign.

 

The first step is to buy the cardboard letters L O V E (the size is up to you). If you do not have red acrylic paint on hand, go ahead and buy some as well. Most of these items can be found online or your local craft store.

 

Paint away and make those letters red.  You could spray paint them if you want, but it only took a few minutes to apply the acrylic with a sponge brush.  I didn’t take a photo of the next step, but it is super easy.  Get out your glue gun and arrange the letters the same way they are arranged in original LOVE art.

 

 

 

I was not sure if it would stand and be stable, but as of now (knock on wood) there are no issues.

 

 

That’s all there is to it.

 

 

 I placed it on the dresser in our foyer area.  That way we can see it every time we walk by, which is a lot.

 

 

To go along with, I added a shot of  Yankee and me that was taken in Hawaii right after he spent a six month deployment on a submarine.  Luckily, my red dress in this shot adds to the Valentine’s theme.

 

 

 

Of course, a candle always adds the romantic touch. It’s perfect for the minimalist look on this dresser top.
