Easy Door Enhancement Plus A Giveaway

By Jordan | Before and After, Projects

I am loving the new look of our back porch.  The porch also got a new door.  I wish I had a picture of the old door, but it is no where to be found.  Anyway, it was UGLY and old.  It has been updated and the panes bring in a lot more light to the kitchen.  This door looks great, but still I wanted to add a little something to it.  Take a look.

Now disregard the missing door frame.  Attaching it is on Mr. Spring’s to-do list.  Summer and camping have gotten the best of us, and this project still needs to be finished.  Look beyond the frame, and look at the blank door.  Great, yes, but it still needed something.

Numbers - Easy Door Enhancement Plus A Giveaway(

I decided to do some research on Etsy and discovered Allison from Singlestory.  She filled in the missing puzzle piece. She had these great vinyl numbers for a very reasonable price.  Along with the numbers that I needed, Allison sent amazing directions to make this project so easy. The step by step instructions made the application even easier.

The first thing I did was clean the door, and then I applied rubbing alcohol over the area where the numbers were to be attached.

Then I measured everything to pinpoint the place where the letters would go.  I used painters tape to help guide me.

Then I transferred the numbers onto the door.  Don’t worry!  Allison made this so easy that I did not have to measure each number.

This is the after, as of now.   Again look at the beauty of the numbers and not the missing frame.  (Maybe reading this post will be all the incentive the mister needs).  I love this quick and easy update that these numbers gave.

very classy look, do you think the items would hold up if exposed to weather? And don’t be too hard on that Mister of yours…though some door casing would be nice.

    you two take care

How did you know I was working on redoing my front door and wanting some new numbers to put on it? Amazing! These will be PERFECT. I’m going green on the door so would prefer the black numbers.

I love it! I always wanted to do a “Welcome” or our house numbers on our door {at our old house} but I really only had the front door or the garage door to choose from. Never did get around to it before we had to move!
