There’s something special about old friends.
Especially friends from days gone by – like from high school.
I met up with one of those friends last week. We picked up the conversation right where we left it when we last saw each other eight years ago. She looks the same. It’s as if time stood still.
The same can be said for finding some of your decorating accessories from days gone by.
You can dust them off and shine them up, and it’s as if time stood still. They don’t age a bit.
I rediscovered these vintage milk bottles in my stash yesterday. They don’t look a day over 50. It’s as if an old friend came back into my life.
And Lulubelle likes smelling the flowers I put in them. New friend meets old friend.
The flowers are beautiful in your milk bottles. Happy 4th!

I just love the way the “cow” is smelling the flowers!!….Great picture!!…I just love this post!!
Isn’t it fun to pull out something you’ve had for ages and enjoy it anew? These vintage milk bottles are wonderful, and how great to have the wire carrier, too!
Lovely flowers in your cute little bottles. Lovely post about hooking up with a former friend.
Oh these flowers looks so pretty!!
You have inspired me to use my milk bottle. I only have one! Love your vignette and cheerful room. I can smell the pretty flowers.
The old milk bottles are so perfect for the flowers & the way the arrangement is positioned makes it look like the cow is smelling the flowers — perfect!
