I love how just the addition of a little somethin’, somethin’ can freshen up a room and give it a whole new feeling. It doesn’t have to be a big purchase. After all, just think about the difference a bouquet of grocery store flowers can make in a room.
When Kim over at Savvy Southern Style was raving about a new dish towel she received from one of her sponsors, Sutton Place Designs, I decided it would fit perfectly into our kitchen. I love some red in the kitchen, and it would provide the freshness I was wanting.
Layered on a blue and white Williams Sonoma towel, it makes the perfect color combo for summer since we are right now sandwiched between Memorial Day and July 4th.
The fabric is nice and thick, the size is ample, and the workmanship adds an extra flourish with the fringed hem.
I even had my initials added.
It looks so nice hanging on the towel bar that Mr. Autumn installed on the end of our kitchen cabinet. It’s another one of those things that makes me smile.

Take care.
We paid for the product, and we were not compensated by either company.
I love pretty dishtowels. I need to get some pretty ones out for summer! We are enjoying some time in Florida and I love to decorate here!
It is pretty and Ann does such a wonderful job.
Oh my gosh…I am so flattered and happy that you posted about the tea towel. I found your link at Kim’s party. I didn’t realize you had a blog. I think it’s fantastic that you can do this with your mom. Thank you again…Ann
Love the new towel layered over the blue plaid one. Ann does such good work.
It looks great! I love it layered with the blue!
I do remember when your hubby installed the towel bar! It makes a wonderful place to display kitchen towels. I like how you brought patriotic colors into the kitchen, and Ann’s towel is just the cutest thing!
Isn’t it always a surprise – how one little thing can have such impact?
Ticking stripe just makes me happy. The towels look so nice and add a nice pop of color, just perfect for this time of the year.
It is amazing how a simple dish towel can add such punch to a kitchen! These are beautiful! We just remodeled our kitchen and I did the same thing…had a towel bar installed for the purpose of holding dish towels or hanging my childrens’ art work…love yours! Coming over from WOW us Wed! Christie
That looks so nice. I’ve been looking for some red & white ticking to add some trim to a couple of dishtowels, as well as to make some napkins. It’s just so fun and fresh, & looks great paired with so many different colors.
Oh this looks so pretty! I love the red.
So pretty and I love the monogram. Can you tell me what the counter-top is?
Dee
Such a pretty dish towel. I call them cup towels. 🙂
Love the way you have it hanging at the end of the counter. I’ve always wanted to add a bar there.
