Hi, everyone. I hope you had a great week-end. Ours was super because we had a special visitor. I have a cute fix-up to show you today, thanks to Mr. Autumn.
I always like to take advantage of any decorating storage space I can find. I have had my eye on the panel at the end of this kitchen cabinet for a while, and this week-end, we tackled it. I bought an 18 inch long towel bar so that I could add some color by displaying some dish towels.
First, Mr. Autumn hung the brackets.
After both brackets were hung, he used a level to check to make sure they were even.
Then he used an allen wrench to attach the towel bar.
Unfortunately, the panel developed a hair-line fracture. I was able to patch it with some spackle.
Before he had even put his tools away, I found some of my favorite towels and was putting the new towel bar to use.
The new towel bar ties in nicely with a bar in the same style that we use in another part of the kitchen for our copper pans. We have success!!!

This is such a great idea. I’ve been wondering if I should put a towel rack on the end of my cabinets for some of my special towels.

I need to get a towel bar added at the end of the island. I love your blued checked towels. Too cute!

Now why wouldn’t I think to add a towel bar to my island? Apparently, there are others who are asking themselves the same question. LOL Glad you were able to fix that crack with some wood filler. Visiting from Susan’s party. 🙂 Sue

I love this idea and have done it too. My kitchen is very small but I made a couple of little spots to hang towels. Towel racks stuck out too far and the fridge door would hit it so I bought some of those modern long handles for cabinets from Ikea and sprayed them! It worked. You have some pretty towels too not to mention your kitchen is just gorgeous.
be a sweetie,
Shelia 😉

Great Idea, your towels looks so nice there, as well as your copper pans.
I don’t like that mine is so empty either. I used to have a lemon hook years ago
with a towel hanging on it, but when our house flooded and they redid our
cabinets, I just have never put anything there as the cabinet stick out a lil
more than the other one. But just might consider it now that I have seen
yours………….amazing how such a small change can looks so great! Love
those small touches that make things so homey.
Blessings, Nellie
