How To Organize Your Scarves

By Janette | Projects

Do you have trouble keeping your scarves organized?  Well, I did, too, until I came up with an easy system when I was recently switching my summer clothes out for fall.

We travel to lots of third world countries, and one of the fringe benefits of those trips is shopping at the local markets.  They are great places to load up on colorful and unusual scarves which is the main reason why I have so many.   However, it is a real chore to keep them folded and neat.

Recently when I went to a nearby Ikea, I spotted this hanger which is made for pants and slacks.  I thought that it would work well as a scarf hanger also, so, I bought three.  There is a similar one here if you do not have an Ikea close.

I folded them, draped them over the hangers, and invented my own little scarf storage system.  The hanger is nice and sturdy, and the weight of the scarves is not a problem.

Maybe this will give you an idea on how to keep your scarves nice and neat.

Take care.

What a great idea!!! Passing this on to my college daughters as well — they have tons of great scarves. My daughter is studying in India and she had already bought 9 scarves there in her first few weeks!
