This is the first year for a long time that I have a real mantel without a television above it. We have two fireplaces, and this one in the dining room is the one that is getting adorned for the holidays. The mantel in our family room does have a television above it, but we sprang for the Samsung Frame so that it becomes art when we aren’t watching it. So, let’s take a look at our Christmas mantel.
As I have mentioned many times here on the blog, we take a low-key approach to Christmas, and that goes for our mantel.
Also, I am a traditionalist and stick with the red and green, my favorites for Christmas. I do love seeing photos of others’ alternative Christmas colors, though. My wreath doesn’t have a bow because I couldn’t make one since my hand/arm is in a cast.
The only thing that is new is the wreath. And by the way, you can read how we upgraded this fireplace here.
I have this set of children’s books, and they are in lots of colors, which are great for seasonal decorating.
This post card was in my grandmother’s collection. I wrote about her ornaments in this post.
Oh, this poinsettia is new. I did an Instastory about the local nursery where I bought it and others. If you want to follow our stories on Instagram, you can follow us here.
That’s our mantel all decked out for Christmas. I might add a few live sprigs of greenery as we get closer to Christmas. Have you decorated your Christmas mantel yet? Thank you all so much for taking time out of your busy day to stop by here and read our blog. We really appreciate you, your support, comments, and emails.
Take care.
